Small Market Domination
Small Market Domination
Small market domination is a great way to increase business! And who doesn’t want to increase business?
All of us in business are looking to get an edge and to increase where we can so we have a higher profit margin and better overall income outcome for the year. One of the ways to do this is to look outside of the traditional market and focus on small markets.
There are two different types of small markets: the first is niche markets within your industry, and the second is location-based small markets. With niche based small markets, we are looking for parts of our industry that are not very well known and are under served.
For example, in the roofing industry it may be the type of style roof that you may want to build up as other roofers are not advertising this. We’re looking for holes in the market where others competitors have not spent much time.
So we need to hop on Google and search to see how saturated each of the niche markets are. When we find a niche market that’s not very well saturated, we will need to create a landing page on our website. This page will answer all the questions related to the specific niche market.
Once this page is created, we’ll want to continue to add information to it every week or other week for a while until it starts to rank on the first page of Google for that specific term in our city. This may take some time or it may be rather quick depending on how saturated the market is that we choose.
The next type of small market is location based. Location based small markets are literally areas that don’t have many people in them. When we pick a small city and focus on our industry keywords it’s rather easy to beat all the competitors because there aren’t very many competitors there. Sometimes there aren’t any at all.
Every large city has smaller cities that are either inside of it or around it. When you take your main keyword and search for it with the location of the small cities what comes up? If there’s lots of competitors, maybe move on to another market.
If there’s not very many competitors that would be a good market to focus on. Once again, what we want to do is create a landing page specifically for the small market. For example, here in Las Vegas there are many small cities inside of the big city.
One of the small cities is called Paradise. If I wanted to focus on web design in Paradise, I would create a landing page called https://webdesignhendersonnv.com/web-design-paradise and put all the information about the city of Paradise on that page.
This way people who are searching for web design in Paradise, Nevada will find the page. Luckily there’s not very many people in this market, so that would be a good market to go after.
